More intensive traffic to be organised due to the events of the 8th World Choir Games on July 13
To ensure the delivery of participants and visitors of the Big concert, which will be held in Mežaparks on the Big scene, to and from Mežaparks, on July 13 more intensive traffic will be ensured on the public transport routes going to Mežaparks. Additional runs will be organised on tram route No. 11, trolleybus route No. 3, (starting from 18:00 it will be extended the terminal of bus route No. 9 in Mežaparks), as well as on bus routes No. 9 and 48. After the concert, traffic on tram route No. 11, trolleybus route No. 3, and bus routes 9 and 48 will be organised in accordance with the passenger flow, to deliver the participants and visitors of the concert to the city centre, Sarkandaugava and Pļavnieki.
Additional runs will be also organised on some public transport routes for the convenience of participants and visitors of the concert. The additional runs will depart from the city centre until 2:00 to cover a majority of the city’s districts. There will be additional runs on tram routes No. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10, trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27, and bus routes No. 3, 11, 12/23/26 (combined, it will run across Akmens Bridge) 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53. On July 13, due to changes in the schedule of tram route No. 11, the Retro tram will run according to a temporary schedule, which is available here. We remind that in the Retro tram the price of one trip for everybody is EUR 1.50 and tickets are sold by the tram driver.
